Right on the outskirts is this beautiful animal hotel and here you should definitely plan a little break. The Tierhotel is a project of the NABU Burgdorf-Uetze-Lehrte and seems very successful! The Trafoturm itself is an eye-catcher, because it was built in the beautiful red brick stone.

In 2019, the local group “Burgdorf, Lehrte and Uetze” of the Nature Conservation Association (Nabu) built a stork’s nest on the transformer tower. Since 1997, roosts for barn owls, kestrels and bats have been set up on and in the tower.
