In the evening, linger for a while at Largo de São Miguel in Alfama. This little square turns magical after sunset—neighbors bring out chairs, kids play in the street, and the whole place feels like a village inside the city. Every now and then you’ll even hear live fado drifting from a nearby tavern. It’s one of the rare spots where you can sense the real Lisbon, far from the tourist crowds.

Largo de São Miguel is a small square in the heart of Alfama, dominated by the church of the same name and the traditional houses surrounding it. In the evenings, locals and visitors often gather here, sometimes accompanied by Fado music from the nearby bars. It's a lovely spot to pause, soak up the atmosphere, and get a glimpse into the everyday life of the neighborhood.
