As of 2025, it will be the longest suspension bridge in South Tyrol, with a length of 270 meters and a height of 130 meters to the valley floor. What makes the new suspension bridge special, however, is the combination of a pedestrian crossing and a water pipe that carries water from the Sarntal Valley to Jenesien.

The new pedestrian suspension bridge over the Martertal valley connects the Sarntal valley (Bundschen) with the Tschöggelberg (Senesien). It is a technical masterpiece that not only provides a convenient crossing for hikers and cyclists, but also supplies the arid, agriculturally cultivated low mountain range of the Tschöggelberg with valuable water from the Sarnen mountains via the pipeline running beneath the bridge.
