The casemate is on the edge of the road that leads from Hatten to Seltz. This is a Ligne Maginot infantry for about 20 soldiers. Half of the inner room houses the armaments from 1939/1940 and is dedicated to the battle that was fought in the fortified area around Haguenau. In the other half of the room there is mention of the terrible battle of Hatten, where the Americans and Germans fought each other in 1945. Traces of this battle are clearly visible on the fortress.

a very nice open-air museum. You can get into the bunker for a small entrance fee, but only on Saturdays and Sundays.

The Esch casemate, reconstituted as a museum, has four rooms. It is the first structure attacked during the terrible battle of January 1945. A Sherman tank is displayed on the fort.
