Sælvig is a bay that forms the southern part of the large, crescent-shaped Vester Hedekrog Bay on the west coast of Samsø in the Kattegat Sea. To the northeast, where Sælvig meets Mårup Vig, there was a canal in the Viking Age, the Kanhavekanalen, which crossed the island and led to Stavns Fjord in the east.
The bay is located northwest of Onsbjerg and gave its name to the settlement of Sælvig in the municipality of Onsbjerg.
Today, the bay is popular with bathers and windsurfers.
