Hiking

The 15 steles of the new Stations of the Cross have been in place since March 5/6, 2009, along the footpath from the parking lot to the main portal of the pilgrimage basilica. The artistic representations were created by Munich Jesuit brother and stained-glass artist Michael Kampik, who has known and appreciated the Wemding pilgrimage since his childhood. The Stations of the Cross were blessed by Auxiliary Bishop Dr. Dr. Anton Losinger of Augsburg, a school friend of the artist from Dillingen, on March 15, 2009.
