The village of Hausen was first mentioned in 1275, of which only the farm estate remained. During the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648) the facility fell into disrepair. Baron Achatius von Hohenfeld received the farm as a man loan in 1659. In 1662 the simple construction of the manor house, which is characterized by a high and firm basement, a multi-windowed upper floor and a high mansard hipped roof, was completed. The residential building still closes the courtyard after the street in a long front.
In 1772, 7,000 soldiers from Nassau and Kurtrier faced each other here. The military conflict was avoided and an armistice was concluded. The Lower Saxony Convention of July 1, 1772 ended the conflict with a compromise.
The only ornament was a figure of St. Nepomuk in a shell-shaped niche in the corner of the first floor. The coat of arms of those from Hohenfeld can still be seen above the large courtyard passage. Today there are apartments in the building. There is also an equestrian boarding house and a riding hall on the property.

If you follow the Hauserbach from the source you will first reach the grave chapel. Immediately afterwards there is a view of the historic farm estate
