The synagogue is behind the post office 8 (actually: Römerstraße 8) in Kirchhain. In November 1988, on the 50th anniversary of the November pogrom, a commemorative plaque was placed on the building, the text of which reads: In memory of our persecuted, expelled and murdered Jewish fellow citizens. Until November 1938 this was the synagogue, the place of worship for the Kirchhain Jewish community. On the 50th anniversary of their devastation. City of Kirchhain.
