The synagogue is behind the post office 8 (actually: Römerstraße 8) in Kirchhain. In November 1988, on the 50th anniversary of the November pogrom, a commemorative plaque was placed on the building, the text of which reads: In memory of our persecuted, expelled and murdered Jewish fellow citizens.
