Hiking

An idyllic lake, a mysterious jungle island, varied shores, riparian forest, meadows and a steppe-like area open up charming landscape impressions. The small-scale mosaic of different biotopes offers ideal living spaces for a diverse animal world. The great crested grebe has chosen the Erlensee as a breeding ground, cranes and many other migratory birds use the lake as a resting place. At dusk, bats hunt across the water surface and sometimes an osprey circles over the lake.
