The three-arched viaduct spans the Lollbach, which briefly flows downstream into the Franconian Saale. The railway line from Gemünden am Main to Bad Kissingen runs over the viaduct. This railway line runs along the Saale.
After the viaduct in the direction of Bad Kissingen, the line joins the line from Schweinfurt.

From Wikipedia: The initial branch line to Bad Kissingen was opened on October 9, 1871 by the Royal Bavarian State Railways and was the first railway connection to the spa town. It has only been connected to the line from Gemünden (Main) since 1924. Since the 1970s, both have shared a track for the last 1.3 kilometers; before that, they each ran parallel to the station on their own tracks. Since the Bayern-Takt was introduced in 1996, there has been an hourly service, with line RE 57 from DB Regio alternating with line RB 50 from Erfurter Bahn.
