In the 1920s, the Alexanderhaus on Groß Glienicker See was the holiday idyll of the Jewish Alexander family. In the decades that followed, it survived persecution, division, and decay as a silent witness to German history. Five very different families lived in the house. When it was threatened with demolition, Thomas Harding, grandson of the former owner, successfully campaigned for its preservation and made it his mission to keep the house's history alive.
