The Groß Glienicke estate park is a landscape park that originally belonged to the Groß Glienicke manor at the northern end of the Groß Glienicker See. The manor belonged to various noble families from Brandenburg. After the property changed hands frequently between 1375 and 1927, the manor house finally burned down in the autumn of 1945. The demarcation of the border divided the estate into a "western" and "eastern" part. The creation of a "death strip" along the border after 1961 led to the partial destruction of the park.
Today, the value of the park is considered high due to the numerous trees that date back to the time of its creation.
