Forsthaus Friedrichshohenberg

The forester's lodge now serves as a hostel, offering a cafe, and a farm shop. From here you also have an excellent view of the Konradsburg!The hostel Forsthaus Friedrichshohenberg stands for a project of nature-loving life and work - "Simply Life". Reflection on the essentials, worth living and peace in harmony with nature and landscape are the point of view of the project. In our own bakery there are baked sourdough bread, herbs, fruits and vegetables from the farmer garden, home-made juices and other fruit products as well as the ecological accommodation. Peasant handicraft and home economics techniques are also practiced, for watching and on request also for participation.Every Friday, our farm day takes place in the accommodation on the edge of the Harz mountains. From 13:00 to 17:00 there is a lunch, coffee and cake. Between 14:00 clock 17:00 clock is also open our farm shop. Here you will find all sorts of delicious things from our own production and from the region. The forest, after which the property is named, the Friedrichshohenberg, received its present name in honor of the Prussian King Frederick II. Before the "Hohenberg" named, initially belonged to the properties of the monastery Konradsburg.Source: forsthaus-harz.de
