The Roßberg Church was built in 1753 by the Roßbergers (around 25 households). Before construction began, a large part of the forest on the Roßberg was cleared - the construction costs were paid for with the proceeds. At that time it was quite common for the residents in smaller villages - with or without a “master builder” - to build a church themselves. In most of the villages the building was given to the local church or sold after a few years; in Roßberg this step was not taken: the church is still the property of the political community (now: the Ebsdorfergrund community).

The church in Roßberg is one of the last parish churches in Hesse.
It was built in 1753 by the Roßbergers themselves.
When visiting the open space oasis and hiking on the Roßberger Erlebnisweg, you can make a detour to the church.
