From here you have a great view of the Störmthaler See. It's hard to believe that it was created by flooding an opencast mine. The flooding was finished in 2012 and today it has good bathing water quality. On the lake you can see the floating art object "Vineta": It is reminiscent of the church in Magdeborn, which was dredged for opencast lignite mining.
