    A rhinoceros hovers above the heads of visitors in a Brescia shopping center. It hangs there with its considerable weight at a dizzying height, suspended from thin ropes. Looking up, one registers it with anxiety and bated breath. The artist Stefano Bombardieri has titled his installation "Il peso del tempo sospeso," "The Weight of Suspended Time." The adjective "sospeso" is a play on words, as it means not only suspended, but also suspended. In his installation, something we cannot normally sense seems to become tangible: time. Time usually slips by imperceptibly. Only when looking up at the rhinoceros does the power of time and the fragility of the moment become apparent.
