The Pandhof of the Cathedral is the cloister garden of the Cathedral Church. This garden is hidden between the Cathedral Church and the University's Academiegebouw: an idyllic oasis full of flowers and herbs in the heart of the city. The Pandhof is one of the most beautiful inner gardens in the Netherlands. From here, you have a clear view of the Cathedral tower and the church.
The Pandhof of the Cathedral Church dates from the period 1390-1440. It was restored at the end of the 19th century. The garden was recently redesigned. It is a cloister garden with medieval style elements. In the center is a fountain with the figure of Hugo Wstinc, a 14th-century cathedral canon, writing. A 15th-century cloister surrounds the garden.
Open daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
