Historic Old Town of Bad Münstereifel

Unfortunately, the creator of this highlight has left no description, but I assume that meant around the city wall. This is partly accessible from the Heisterbachtor to the spa park. The city center of Bad Münstereifel is (along with the villages along the Ahr) one of those places that were particularly hard hit by the heavy rain catastrophe in July 2021. Virtually the entire city center was under water when you look at the peacefully rippling river Erft today, simply unimaginable. In the meantime, the traces of the devastation have been erased almost everywhere.
