Near Givskud, directly on the Ancient Road (Hærvejen), there is a group of burial mounds, probably dating back to the Bronze Age, perhaps even the Stone Age. Some graves have notches carved from the top – likely traces of attempted plunder.
The wild-looking mix of sparse forest and heathland makes the whole place a beautiful place.
