Since 1381, the church, daughter church to Markau. Ehrenreich von Bredow had 1659 the patronage rights over Markee and Markau bought from the cathedral chapter Brandenburg. The valuable interior and the construction itself have undergone several renovations.

In the half-timbered church of 1697, there is an altar pulpit complete with a gallery from 1704, an altarpiece from the second half of the 16th century and a floating baptismal font and several 17th-century canopies.

In 1866, the crypt was built for Heinrich Friedrich von Bredow. The Markeer church was rebuilt from 1933 to 1935. In 1935, the church painter Robert Sandfort painted the church and combined Protestant church art with National Socialist symbols. The color scheme and rich jewelery give this small church its special character.
