Fabulous 360-degree view, weather permitting, from the highest mountain in Chiemgau. You can see the Chiemsee and on the other side you have the Kaiser Mountains very close to you. Recommended and not too difficult a hike!

The Geigelstein is one of the best panoramic mountains we have in the vicinity.
For everyone who likes to see flowers grow, the variety is impressive.
Those who want to pick flowers "please don't come here"

The Geigelstein summit is one of the higher peaks in its region. If you have made it to the Priener hut, where it has arrived beautifully, it costs to overcome the piece back to the summit. But it's worth it!!! It offers a magnificent view! If you do not want to do the tour on one day, you can stay overnight at Priener Hütte. But reserve first ;-).

Sorry, @Alexander Weber, but you're wrong, the highest peak in Chiemgau is the Sonntagshorn 😉

Located conveniently above the Priener hut, a short break before the ascent fits perfectly. Then I recommend the Jägersteig heading west or Sachrang.

Also with dog possible, only at the temperatures not advisable, since the last 1 1/2 to 2 hours are in the blazing sun. On the way there are some drinking possibilities.

The "flower mountain" in Chiemgau is a mountain experience in every season, but offers a unique nature experience, especially for spring and summer blooms. The variety of mountain flowers is impressive and an Eldorado for biologists. The view extends far into the plains of the north as well as over the Alpine Nod chain. When visibility is good, the Hohe Tauern with Austria's highest mountain, the Großglockner, and the Zillertal Alps can be recognized by the white robes.

With an altitude difference of 1100m, you shouldn't get up too late if you don't want to get back to your car in the dark in October.
