"In terms of its cultural and village development characteristics, the town of Holpe is of unique importance within the entire community of Morsbach. The self-contained town center, which is well worth preserving, and the striking green structures that connect it, e.g. at the Holpener Bach, shape the local atmosphere of Holpe. The old village center Holpe is dominated by the Protestant and Catholic churches. A large number of other individual buildings (mostly half-timbered houses) worth preserving, some of which are listed, are grouped around these two buildings that are important to the townscape.
