The old town hall is an architectural relic in the municipality of Wuustwezel.

In 1837, another plot had to be sold to pay for the finishing of the building.

The town hall remained in use until 1926, after which Kasteel Hens was chosen as the new town hall. After that, it was used to house the library and the local history society, among other things.

The former town hall became a protected monument in 1993.

In August 2015, it was announced that the municipality of Wuustwezel would sell the building, for which it no longer found a purpose. At the end of 2015, the building was sold to an architectural firm.

Former town hall, later shop, built in 1837-38 with the proceeds from the sale of the Achterbroekse heath (Wolfsheuvel and Duffelaar in the northwestern corner of the municipality). Before 1837, the secretariat was located in the home of the municipal secretary in the Kloosterstraat and the council met in the inn called De Weireldt, behind the church.
