The water reservoir was built between 1905 and 1906. The building has an outside diameter of approx. 7 meters and a height of approx. 16 meters. It was once used to supply the water cranes required for steam locomotive operation. The tower was completely renovated in 2017-2018.

Cycling

The tower is three-story, has no basement and is circular. The container volume of the tower is 110 m³. The historic railway crane in front of the tower is a technical monument from 1849. It is the last surviving device of this type from the GDR and was extensively renovated in 1984.
