The city of Kitzingen is located in the Lower Bavarian Lower Franconia on the banks of the Main in Maindreieck. The center of the historic old town is the market place, framed by Franconian half-timbered houses, imposing town houses and the Renaissance town hall. Architectural highlights are the city church of Petrini with its mighty portal of the Franconian Baroque, the late Gothic church of St. John with its impressive exterior sculptures and the famous cross chapel of Balthasar Neumann. Of course, there are many places to eat.

Kitzingen is the historic wine trading city on the Main.

The city is renowned for its wine production, and also one of the most important centers of the wine trade in Bavaria.
Franconia has proven to be a hospitable and pleasant region in some aspects dear to us Italians: the low cost and, surprisingly, good wine to drink (those who prefer beer, clearly, no problem!) and the food is very good.
Throughout the territory you can breathe a pleasant 'atmosphere' far from the icon that we have of Germany, perhaps due to the beautiful images, works and views that the city offers you, crossing it a 'picture' emerges that recalls my Tuscany .
