The artist Louis Constantin (born 1944) made a name for himself with his monumental sculpture "The Blue Spiral." It is the largest free-standing plastic sculpture in Munich. Made of glass-fiber-reinforced polyester, it weighs approximately 1,500 kilograms, is nine meters long, and measures three and a half meters in diameter. Its structure is hollow and free of any external materials—eight elements connected by metal flanges. It was completed in 1973 after almost three years of construction, concluding Louis Constantin's "apprenticeship and wandering years."
