The six visible silos of the former dynamite factory of the Dynamit Aktien-Gesellschaft Alfred Nobel (DAG) resemble rocket shafts.
The largest munitions factory of the Nazi regime was located in Christianstadt (Krzystkowice) on the Bober River.
The cylindrical design was presumably intended to allow pressure to escape upwards in the event of an explosion, thus minimizing the risk of injury in the immediate vicinity of the silo. Some of the silos are filled with sand, presumably for counterpressure and camouflage.
