The white Carrara marble sculpture has a diameter of 5.91 meters, a height of 3 meters and a total weight of 30 tons. Cascella's monument is the second in Parma, the other is located at the west gate in Piazzale Santa Croce which in 1994 was donated to Parma by Pietro Barilla.

The work represents a cube suspended over a body of water. The monument with this suspended cube wants to represent the precariousness of life, the story of how something very heavy manages to become light and apparently reassuring, which also represents the artistic testament of Cascella who passed away in May of this year and for him it was the last work, these are the words of the widow of the sculptor from Pescara who loved Parma and considered it his second city. Thanks to Enìa's contribution, another ring of culture is added to Parma.
