Officially known as "Einöde Steinbach" (Steinbach Wilderness), this former estate (hence the still frequently used name "Gut Steinbach") is located here, whose origins date back to 1645. This estate was likely tributary to the Ettal Monastery and originally consisted of two farms. In 1876, the estate burned down and was subsequently rebuilt. In 1912, the estate passed to a Prussian captain, whose grandchildren leased the estate and abandoned farming. In 1989, the original estate was demolished due to dilapidation, and several new buildings were erected in its place. The second estate building, which still exists today, has been expanded into an impressive villa with the addition of two side wings. In 1978, Steinbach was renamed from the dissolved municipality of Frauenrain to Iffeldorf. Particularly worth seeing is the very well-maintained and richly painted former manor house, which can only be viewed from the outside as it is privately owned. Overall a very interesting building.
