This war cemetery was built in mid-1943 as an additional cemetery for the fallen Soviet soldiers from the Alexisdorf prisoner of war camp. To this day it is not known how many dead Soviet soldiers were buried here in mass graves. It is feared that the number of 600 dead stated on a bronze plaque is far too low.
