n Lennisheuvel, a rural hamlet, part of the Brabant municipality of Boxtel, there is a very old and characteristic building that is built of yellow IJssel bricks. It is the former brewery and inn Den Eijngel, probably one of the first stone buildings in Boxtel. Boxtel used to be rich in breweries. Den Eijngel is the oldest existing building that was demonstrably used as a brewery. It was already mentioned in a document in 1494. Archaeological finds even go back to the 13th century.
