Construction began in 1627 and was completed in 1749. It has a single nave and nine altars. Among the works of art preserved in this church, the paintings of the Holy Family, the Nativity, and the Descent from the Cross by Mariano Rossi, as well as the wooden crucifix on the left altar, which came from the demolished Church of St. Lucia, are particularly noteworthy. The altars also feature wooden statues of the Holy Father, St. Apollonia, and St. Sebastian. The paintings on the vault of the nave are the work of Luciano Vitabile of Sciacca.
