The castle is essentially medieval. The Iringsburg in the Loisach Valley on the Tischberg above the city was the seat of a Hofmark of the Iringers. The "Light Berger" Duke Albrecht VI. had the old Iringsburg demolished in 1626. Today's castle was built in the late Renaissance style. Later owners are known[1] Joseph Johann Hörwarth von Hohenburg (1734), Freiherr Ferdinand von Gumppenberg (1778), Karl Freiherr von Beck (1863), Philipp Pfister (1887), Georg Käß (1890). In 1845, mountaineer Hermann von Barth was born at Eurasburg Castle.
