The Lopautal, with the village of Lopau, which has not been inhabited since the 1980s, and several lakes and ponds, is scenically beautiful. However, it is only open to the public if the barrier in front of the village of Lopau is open. If the barrier is closed, you are not allowed to go there, because the area is part of the Bundeswehr training area.
