This idyllic Bremdonckhoeve dates back to the 15th century and was part of the forest estate that Isabella van Breda had donated to the Antwerp Saint-Elisabeth Hospital. Large parts of the domain were sold and divided into plots. The Peerdsbos remained and was owned by the Antwerp OCMW for a long time. In 2008, the Flemish government purchased the forest. The forest is currently managed by the Agency for Nature and Forests.

In April 2024, Crèmerie Geybels will enter the renovated farm with its delicious artisanal ice cream. From Wednesday to Sunday, the farm is the place to be for delicious lunches and sweets. But that's not all: you've also come to the right place for events, workshops and art exhibitions.
