Heiner Pohl describes his Marinushof in Kastelbell as an "agricultural start-up," which is a reflection of both the winery's origins and his personal history. Pohl, who switched to farming in his late thirties, built the winery from his own ideas and ideals. The Marinushof vineyards are located on steep terraced slopes that benefit from plenty of sun and cool nights.

The temperature differences between day and night in autumn, in particular, give the wines finesse and excitement. The range includes Pinot Noir, Zweigelt, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Grigio. Pohl describes his wines as harmonious, natural, and particularly storable – ideal for enjoying the whole bottle at once.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Guided tours: Upon request.
