This church was the parish church for all of Dießen from 1132 to 1804 and has been a subsidiary church ever since. The late Gothic hall building, which still exists today, was built around 1500, and was extended to the west in 1750 and refurbished. The church was renovated outside in 1980 and inside in 1999 and 2010. The walled high cemetery is the oldest burial place in Dießen, and the ossuary right next to the church portal is impressive.
