In the first half of the 14th century, it was the Spinola family who built, at a lower altitude, the castle whose remains we can admire today. At the disposal of the soldiers of the Duke of Orleans in 1394, the castle subsequently followed the events of the Spinola family, becoming the control center of the fief and the site of an important prison.
