The hall church, built in 1521 and modified in the 18th and 19th centuries, consists of a nave and a retracted choir with a 5/8 end in the east. The choir flank tower, which stands on the north wall of the choir, was subsequently expanded with a storey made of ashlar masonry with bevelled corners, which houses the tower clock and the belfry, and covered with a slate-covered, pointed helmet. The portal is in the façade in the west.

The organ with 12 registers, two manuals and one pedal was built by G. F. Steinmeyer & Co. in 1898.

The Protestant parish church of St. Georg, built in the Gothic style, a hall church with a retracted five-eighth choir, is partly from the pre-Reformation period and is the original center of the Friesenhausen parish, first mentioned in 1404. In 1862 the tower was raised and a neo-Gothic facade was added to the nave.
