Since 1923, it has housed the museum collection of the Geislingen Art and History Association (Kunst- und Geschichtsverein Geislingen e.V.) as the city museum.
The museum in the Old Building holds the memory of the city of Geislingen and its surrounding area. It was founded 100 years ago as the "Local History Museum."
