The Katzenstein is a rock formation with the character of a scree heap. It was exposed as a lookout point, but is currently (2019) growing back over. It is located approximately 80 m southwest of the hiking trail and is easily accessible off-grid from there or from below.The Katzenstein was the center of a large and long-standing prehistoric settlement (dating from the finds).Arch monument D-4-6233-0306
