Eickhorst is a historically significant village with an important church and an active agricultural infrastructure. The "Altmarkrundkurs" long-distance cycle path runs through Eickhorst, a place well worth seeing and offering plenty to explore. Eickhorst is a district of the municipality of Dähre. The village is located about two kilometers west of Dähre on the Dumme River and is laid out as a short, narrow-street village with a church. The center of Eickhorst and the 15th-century village church are listed as historical monuments.
