Its name comes from a dense bush with an adjacent forest, consisting predominantly of oak and sea buckthorn. This grove is located on an old farm, supposedly once owned by a farmer named Schwartz. From this, "Schwarzer Busch" (Black Bush) is derived. The fact that the "Schwarzer Busch" (Black Bush) still stands is thanks to ship captains who needed the green strip as a landmark and thus saved it from deforestation.
