Schloss Atzelsberg was built after its destruction in the Thirty Years War in its present form in 1705. It is since 1961 owned by the city of Erlangen. Noteworthy is the Baroque building and its ancillary facilities as well as the completely overgrown old oak to the right of the main entrance.

Atzelsberg Castle, with its moat, Baroque garden, castle garden and the listed outbuildings Schloss-Scheune and Johann's, covers a total area of 8000m². This valuable cultural asset can look back on more than 300 years of history and has been completely renovated in recent years.
