Positioned at an average altitude of 1200 meters it seems like a large plain suspended 1000 meters above the Vicenza plain. It is renowned for several reasons: in the past it was the scene of bloody clashes related to the great war, the Gallio cross-country skiing center is famous, it is also renowned for its fine cheeses, the most famous is the Asiago DOP, it is a very important and absolutely valuable tourist destination.
