In contrast to the right bank (the south side), the footpath along the left bank between the bridges of the N32 near Menen and those of the Lauwestraat near Wevelgem is unpaved and only for walkers, much more pleasant than the asphalt road on the other side.
The chance that geese or rabbits will cross your path is great.
From the path you have a view of the Sint-Theresia-van-het-Kind-Jezuskerk in the Tuinwijk and Vogelwijk in the west of Wevelgem.
