Hiking
The Diefhondbos is located on top of one of the old Leie arms that was created after a straightening in 1885. For years, this was filled with household waste. In 1983, the household waste dump was closed, because this site was colored as a forest in 1979. Over the years, various tree planting campaigns were organized, so that you can now enjoy a new play forest. The green hill and the (semi)natural surface form a welcome change in a route along the Leie that mainly consists of a flat asphalt road.
