The basin of the historic harbor, which was built in the 16th century, now protrudes far into the old town almost to the Norderstrasse. Medium-sized town houses, workers' houses and warehouses frame the harbor area with its many traditional ships on both sides. The motorhome parking space is in the direction of the lock.
