Wernigerode in the Harz Mountains: A starting point for numerous activities: hiking, dining, cultural monuments, museums, etc.
And the best part is located about 15 km away, in the town of Zilly:
the HARZER BIKERSCHMIEDE (Harz Bikers' Workshop) – here you can view various old, working automotive and agricultural equipment, as well as old household items.
The highlight: a trike with an original T55 tank engine. The same one was already in Speyer for the successful Guinness World Record entry.
From time to time, it's "demonstrated" – with all the trimmings.
