1820 took place on the Kietzer cemetery the first burial. The tombstone erected at that time is still preserved today. At the end of the Second World War, the cemetery was in the combat area. Many bulletins in the tombstones still bear witness to this. After the war, a Soviet garrison settled next to the cemetery. The entire environment - including the cemetery - was declared a restricted area. Only since 1990 is the area accessible again. For some years, the cemetery now offers a worthy resting place for the fallen German soldiers. Source: friedhof-ansichten.de/archives/5369

The cemetery is accessible, small, and charming. The information board at the entrance provides information about the special features of the graves of Kietz residents and the German dead, whose names were only mentioned from 1995 onward.
